The Fall 2025 season resulted in the two best individual seasons by Tribe EAFC players in the program’s history. William & Mary was the only university in the country to have more than one player make it to the ECAC quarterfinals. In the process, Brandon Carranza-Lopez and Marc Grabulosa-Serra broke university records for best regular season final ranking and best playoff run this season.
Marc Grabulosa-Serra
Grabulosa-Serra under the gamertag Minipick698 won 3rd place in the ECAC after sweeping the third-place game against Indiana University in Indianapolis. On his way to 3rd place he held a 9-3 overall record (one forfeit loss) and finished the regular season as the nation’s 17th ranked player. This season he only lost 4 sets in total.
Brandon Carranza-Lopez
Under the name BrendsWM, Carranza-Lopez finished as the number 6th highest ranked player nationally in the ECAC. This was the best regular season final ranking in program history. He finished the regular season with 6-1 record and went on to reach the quarterfinals of the playoffs, ending the season with an 8-2 record. This was tied for second best playoff run in program history. Carranza-Lopez only lost 5 sets this year and served as the team captain. As a captain he organized the teams pilot program for adding commentary over our official league games.
Other News:
The Fall 2025 season also marks former player Garrett Bellin’s first year as head coach of the team. He will return along with Carranza-Lopez (Graduate Student) and Grabulosa-Serra (Junior) for the Spring 2026 season starting on February 2nd.
