The 2026 ECAC season came to an end after successful postseason performances from both of the Tribe’s EAFC representatives, Brandon Carranza-Lopez and Marc Grabulosa-Serra.

2026 Spring ECAC Post-Season Recap
After a successful run to his third straight ECAC quarterfinals, Marc Grabulosa-Serra ultimately fell to the defending national champion, Conestoga College. During his playoff run he beat the #18 and #2 ranked players in the country. During the spring ECAC season, five of his seven wins came against top 20 opponents. Beating the #2, #10, and #13, ranked teams during the regular season as well. He finished the spring season with a 7-3 record and a final regular season ranking of #15 nationally.
Team captain, Brandon Carranza-Lopez, finished the spring season with a 5-4 record and a final ranking of #19 in the ECAC. Despite bowing out in a close round of 32 matchup, this qualification signifies his fourth straight appearance in the playoffs as well as his fourth straight winning season.
Additionally, Carranza-Lopez won the prestigious Griffin Spirit Award for the individual who best embodies the William & Mary Esports values and community.
Both Carranza-Lopez and Grabulosa-Serra will be returning for the Fall 2026 ECAC season.

William & Mary EAFC Season Review
Fall Success
The 2025-2026 school year was a historic one for the Tribe both on and off the (virtual) field. During the fall of 2025 the tribe won its first ever medal with Grabulosa-Serra finishing in third place in the 2025 Fall ECAC National Playoffs. He finished the season with a 9-3 record, and his third place marked the best playoff performance in the program’s history.
While Grabulosa-Serra shattered all of the program’s postseason records, Carranza-Lopez finished the ECAC fall 2025 season with the best regular season performance in program history. Carranza-Lopez managed to finish the regular season ranked #6 in the nation. He then went on to reach the quarterfinals for the ECAC playoffs.
Building Engagement Through Broadcasts
Additionally, this year marked the start of the new broadcast commentary program for Tribe EAFC matches. Three ECAC playoff matches were broadcasted with William & Mary commentators. The program plans to continue arranging these broadcasts with commentary for matches in the fall. Check out the broadcasts below:
The commentary program was implemented by Austin Rice (Production), Gibran Adnan (Student Commentator), Brandon Carranza-Lopez (Commentator and Caster), and Head Coach Garrett Bellin (Commentator & Production).
Coach’s Note
Additionally, the 2025-2026 season was former player Garrett Bellin’s first year with the program as a Head Coach. He helped the team to a 29-12 record and was honored with an honorable mention for the William & Mary Esports Alumni Spirit award. This award goes to alumni who continue to make impact in the esports community.
